1998 Beneteau Oceanis 381
Very well updated and Turn Key, we have a survey on file and she is ready to take off on her next adventure.
Owner's Comments:
We acquired the sailboat in 2016 with the aim of retiring in the south. It has since seen a lot of improvement and upgrading. A new 20 KW electric motor which has a regeneration feature with the propeller (easy to service, maintenance free and odorless) replaced the internal combustion engine in 2018, 540W rigid solar panels were installed on an arch. New electronic instruments, an Axiom 9 chart plotter, a VHF radio with AIS receiver and a Maretron wind indicator were installed in 2018. A new SunPure watermaker was added in 2019 (never used). A new lithium battery bank 200A for the 48V electric motor was installed in 2021.
In 2019, the trip began from Kingston in Ontario to descend the river through Montreal, Quebec, Gaspesie, the Madeleine Islands and ended in Halifax at the end of July 2019. The project was to take to the sea in the spring of 2020. Unfortunately, this could not happen because of the Covid-19 pandemic and now health considerations mean the project had to be canceled. This is why the sailboat is now for sale. It is all set and ready to sail again with a new crew who will enjoy an easy sailing boat.
